The Bird Box Challenge... What is it?
'Bird Box' challenge was created on social media after the Netflix film ''Bird Box.'' It became the latest internet craze. In this film, a woman played by Sandra Bullock and her two children were forced to navigate a post-apocalyptic while blindfolded so they don't catch a glimpse of monsters that have the power to kill them. This movie kept me on edge the entire time it was playing.
Apparently, a 17 year old girl in Utah, inspired by the new Netflix thriller, attempted the 'Bird Box' challenge. She did this as an attempt to imitate the film. However, while driving, she caused a two car crash.
Have you ever participated in this dare? It's shocking that someone would consider participating in this absurd challenge. This is a dangerous challenge which could lead to painful results. No matter how many times I read stories on the amount of people that have completed this challenge, I still end up finding it hard to believe that someone could be so selfish and insensitive to his/her surroundings. It is a viral trend and the warnings of the dangers of this challenge is aimed at those who would be willing to take it too far. This is -- obviously -- a life threatening stunt to try in the real world. People need to learn how to differentiate real life and movies that are made up. They need to come to terms that movies are fictional for a reason!
