Diffusion of Innovation or Innovation of Ideas, is a theory that explains how and why an idea or new technology has spread over time. The new technology I will discuss which has become really popular is Snapchat. 

Snapchat, the latest craze, whether it be adults or young teenagers, have been using this photo sharing application as a form of communication between one another. It is a messaging platform that users use to connect with friends all over the world. It's a simple concept -- so why has Snapchat been so popular since it first came out? 

For starters, it definitely stands out than all the other social media platforms out there. This app gives you a variety of different filters to choose from. There are filters to make an individual look better. This is a reason to why individuals are so interested in the app. All it takes is a few taps on your phone screen and within seconds, you look better than ever. The fact that you could share these photos with your friends is also a bonus. It is very user-friendly and You can create private stories to blog your day and only allow certain people to view it. This encourages people to use this platform to stay updated when it comes to peoples personal lives.


We live in a decade where selfies are part of our day to day lives. Unfortunately, it has become a part of our daily routine. We have become so dependent on this app that we don't notice what is really important around us.
